Cinnamon Brown is a natural shale-schist crushed stone product sold in several sizes and landscape boulders. Cinnamon Brown is a blend of dark and light browns with some shades of green. This color blend gives it a depth of color that is more uniform in color than other decorative rock ground covers often resulting in a more enhance the color of the plants in gardens and landscape.
From a distance it looks similar to wood bark and is a durable alternative to bark ground cover.

Decomposed Granite and Crushed Stone Fines are not the same materials. Decomposed granite has a natural coarse look to it with irregular round quartz pebbles. Crushed stone products tend to be more flat and have a higher amount of fine material. Crushed stone products, granite, sandstone, limestone and others offer a greater array of natural colors to work with than most true decomposed granite materials.
Decomposed Granite Per Ton
As a general rule of 3/8" or 1/4" of crushed stone or decomposed granite material will cover a little over 100 square feet of an ground area at a 2-1/2" depth.
Decomposed Granite Per Yard
As a general rule 1 cubic yard of 3/8" or 1/4" of crushed stone or decomposed granite material will cover 125 square feet in a 2-1/2" inch layer. A cubic yard of moist crushed stone fines or decomposed granite material weighs more or less 3,000 pounds.

A proper DG surface does not move underfoot like sand or gravel, but its porosity allows water to penetrate to the soil below. That aspect makes DG or crushed stone fines a good paving material around trees and shrubs.
The standard application process is to spread about 2" of DG or crushed stone fines, water it thoroughly then compact it with a water filled sod roller, hand tamper or use a vibra plate it to settle. Then repeat the process with at least another 1" to 2" layer for extra depth for stability.
