The stone of choice for many of Hollywood's celebrity homes. The Fossil Creek Stone is quartzite sandstone formed 300 million years ago it is one of the hardest durable stones known quarried in the Eastern New Mexico deserts.
Fossil Rustic Wall rock reflects fine mix of creams and beige variations. The presence of normal and fossil pigment makes it a consistent structure stone. ITs coloring allows for it to work well in any form of setting, whether it be traditional, modern or contemporary. The wall rocks can be utilized as bar or office ledges, around the pool, step for walking tracks, and wellsprings. These unique rocks are also used for different highlights such as grower boxes, holding walls, and other structural components.
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet.
In most cases we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very in-accurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips and or dumps were made in loading the truck?
Architects, public agencies, contractors and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, amount and date needed and buyers contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons.

Product Samples
California Building Material Supply believes that for most consumers and end users of these landscaping or building material products the best location to view most of these products is at the actual site where they are going be used. This is particularly true for existing homes and commercial locations that are being renovated or re-landscaped. Samples of most materials can be delivered and evaluated by you on site for you to make the most informed choice possible. Materials are sold per the specification of the stone type, product brand and basic sizes.
Samples are shipped via United State Postal Service, Priority Mail. We can get about 16 pounds of material into a large flat rate box. Samples are sent with an invoice on Net 10 Day Terms. When ordering your samples use the Purchase Order function at checkout and enter SAMPLES. This will allow you to make a purchase without having to pay for the samples at that time.

For new construction and residential or commercial remodelling projects, including exterior and interior walls, siding, for edging, paving, raised bed walls, and retaining walls, fireplaces, wood burning stoves, landscape walls, wine cellars, and pillars, Fossil Creek Wall Rock is the best stone option.
There is always going to be slight variance of square footage from pallet to pallet even if the weights are similar. The square foot coverage per ton of flagstone will vary with each project. Designs of the project, the average stone thickness, size of joints, pattern cuts, waste etc. will effect area coverage. The information is based on average full pallets weights.
