This rock is ideal for water features in swimming pools, waterfalls, or general waterscapes. This stone is superior to onyx from Mexico because it is very hard but ironically that makes it much easier for drilling and cutting since it won't fracture. So it can be easily drilled for fountain and or lighting features.
Black Zebra Onyx Wall Rock is an inviting mixture blend of black, silver and brown tones with white marble veins that swirl their way through these cool white color in the rock and boulders and boulders. The surfaces of black onyx rock and boulders range from smooth to coarse to the touch.
This wall rock and boulders are shipped throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and beyond into the rest of the USA, Canada, and even into the Bahamas.
These boulders can be pre-ordered with holes drilled through them for the installation of water or electrical features. Each drilled hole is $75.00
This is an American-produced onyx (normally we would not parse the differences between American and Mexican stone since we strongly advocate stone imports from Mexico, as the alternative is more stone from Communist China and India and that does not help our countries at all) and this material is much more solid and easier for masons to work with than Mexican onyx. It is also one of the few materials that are cheaper than stone from Mexico. Mexican onyx boulders for the Western USA are more costly, harder to get on a regular basis, and not as well quarried.
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet.
In most cases, we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very inaccurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend on the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up, and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips, and or dumps were made in loading the truck?
Architects, public agencies, contractors, and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, the amount and date needed, and the buyer's contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons.

Product Samples
California Building Material Supply believes that for most consumers and end users of these landscaping or building material products, the best location to view most of these products is at the actual site where they are going to be used. This is particularly true for existing homes and commercial locations that are being renovated or re-landscaped. Samples of most materials can be delivered and evaluated by you on-site for you to make the most informed choice possible. Materials are sold per the specification of the stone type, product brand, and basic sizes.
Samples are shipped via United State Postal Service, Priority Mail. We can get about 16 pounds of material into a large flat-rate box. Samples are sent with an invoice on Net 10-Day Terms. When ordering your samples use the Purchase Order function at checkout and enter SAMPLES. This will allow you to make a purchase without having to pay for the samples at that time.
