Black Cinders Lava Rock 1/8"-1/4" Prices For TruckLoad Per Ton
12-25 Tons per shipment required for this price. We offer a Split Load Option from this quarry.
1 Ton is approximately 2,000 lbs.
Black Nara Lava Pebbles are formed when volcanic lava flows spill into the ocean and rapidly hardens as a result. These naturally occurring lava stones are harvested from beaches on tropical Asian islands. The Nara lava pebbles then go through a 'tumbling' process which removes irregular or sharp edges resulting in a smooth uniform shape. Since Nara pebbles are a volcanic rock material, they can naturally withstand extreme heat temperatures without crumbling or exploding.
Tumbled Nara Lava Pebbles give a truly unique and stylish look to any gas fireplace which is a refreshing change from the usual fire wood. They may be used exclusively, or as a base for other fireplace ornaments, such as fire glass or lite stones. The best part is they require no maintenance at all!
Black Nara Lava Pebbles also make a great ground cover in container gardens or landscapes when trying to capture tropical look.

Rate Per Ton
As a general rule one ton of 1-1/4" rock material will generally cover a little over 90 square feet of an ground area at a 2" depth.

Purchase by the Scoop, Skip, Yard or Ton ?
Landscape supply yards are infamous for providing buyers with horrible rates of measurement. In nearly all cases they tell you that "their" scoop or skip is the best deal around and that they always give a little extra. Nothing could be further from the truth. All companies that buy at the wholesale level in our industry pay for their rock by the ton. When buy rock by the tone you are buying value, not hype.
When ordering use the Purchase Order function at checkout and enter ROCK as your payment method. This will allow you to create an order for a firm transportation quote without having to pay for it at this time. While we have posted transport rates, in many circumstances we are able to ship the order to you for less. You will be given a firm cost on the whole order within a few minutes to a few hours.
