Apache Brown Gravel 5/8" Minus and Screened grades available in this sustainable and ecological landscape material. Apache Brown is quarried in Southern Nevada and Central Arizona and in those markets is ships job sites at very low prices. Apache Brown is used extensively in Southern California. This gravel is a crushed rhyolite stone material that is very hard and long lasting even under wear as a driveway surface material. Apache Brown gravel is a blend of mauve, brown and tan colors. This gravel provides a very color contrast in the landscapes around homes in light colors. Apache Brown is quarried in Southern Nevada and Central Arizona and in those markets is ships job sites at very low prices. This product and similar materials are best used at the rates of: 1 Ton per 100 square feet in a 2-1/2 inch deep layer. 1 Cu. Yard per 125 square feet in a 2-1/2 inch deep layer. The 5/8" and 7/8" sizes are in the size range most commonly used in the landscaping industry for a ground cover. This material is certainly very attractive when used in gardens and landscapes but most often becomes a complete professional look when larger gravel, rock and boulder products are blended into it. We sell this product in smaller amounts by the ton, square yard amounts. Full truck and trailer loads of 25 to 27 tons total are the most cost effective and when properly applied at least 2-1/2 inches get used up quickly. This product ships most often in a Truck-n-Transfer Trailer so you can order split loads of this material in 12 to 13 tons with a larger size of material in 12 to 13 tons to give contrasting scale and depth to your finished landscape. For instance you may wish to use the 5/8"" or 7/8" size for an attractive pathway, planterbed, utility area, driveway or parking area but want the ruggedness and contrasting look of rip rap, rock and boulders blended into the garden or landscape.
