30 square feet 1 layer of rock deep. This is too shallow and the soil or weed fabric will show. It will thin out and become covered with soil over time.
15 to 20 square feet 2 layers deep. Superior long term results will be achieved with adding 1 inch deep base of smaller sizes or using a dark decomposed granite.
